Best thing since sliced bread, or microwave pancakes, or squeezable jelly...you get the idea.

Little People are the best toys ever. Period.
They don't squawk, screech, light up, wail, chime, or chirp.
They require no batteries. They are totally cute.

The one thing they do require is imagination on the part of the child playing with them.
A novel concept among today's toy industry ~ toys that actually require a child to interact instead of just sit and observe.

My kids have always had these treasures, and my youngest is most interested in them right now.
Thankfully, Little People are versatile. They can go in the bathtub, outside, to bed ~ pretty much anywhere and everywhere. A quick clean-up with disinfectant and a cloth and they are good as new.

They are relatively inexpensive, can be found in any store that sells toys, and over the past few years have only undergone minor cosmetic changes, thereby not changing their appeal whatsoever.
I wish I was collecting a check for saying all of these promotional and positive things about Little People, but alas, such is not the case. I was simply compelled by reasons unexplainable to rave about my child's favorite plaything!

my boys loved them too -- only we did find that they got slightly waterlogged in the bathtub, lol!

I (heart) Little People! My kids no longer play with them, alas. But I won't get rid of them. I keep setting them up in ridculous combos in the toy room...just to annoy my little ones. =)

I've heard so many moms say such good things about LP. And the bathtime photos are adorable.

Your little people are just as cute! LP are also extremely durable. We still have Violet's collection (she is now 13).

They are so adorable!
Hmmm, I wonder if we have them here in Japan.

I agree! They are great! I just wished my kids would have agreed... They never were that into them so I had to play with them by myself. ;)

I'm all for raving about anything that keeps our wee ones occupied. ;-)

And we like LIttle People, too.

I absolutely agree. But right now I am especially enamored with any toy that doesn't make noise. But I have to admit my baby is just now getting into her little people and watching her sit her little girls in the chairs and say "Sit down" (in baby talk) is just about as adorable as it gets.

they are great, although a lot of their "habitats" have sounds and lights. like the bus. but we bought lots of ours second hand, and so they are the older, QUIET versions. :)

My boy loved his Little People long past the age that I thought he would lose interest in them. In fact, we were in the toy store recently and he saw them and we began talking about all the great times he had with his Little People.

My kids got a Little People DVD for Christmas and it has the most annoying music I've ever heard. But it's not a total loss: it features short five-minute programs so it's a perfect compromise if I want to limit their TV viewing.

In my house, they are called "Sam." But all toy people are called "Sam" in my house.

They are great little toys, very cute. We've got a couple of barn sets and farmers that girlie loves. Perfect for little hands too!

Yup - all toys that make no noise and require imagination are divine.
